Quilting Fool

This past weekend I have been quilting like crazy.  I decided that it's time to make quilts for my 6 grand kids.  So now I want to give them all a quilt for Christmas.  I have 1 out of 6 completely finished and 2 more in the works.  These are for the girls.  They are easy to design and make quilts.  The boys are proving a bit harder. One likes Star Wars, one likes Disney Junior and the other likes Angry Birds.  The challenge is to find fabric for these quilts.  Star Wars - check.  Disney Junior - working on it.  No fabric so I have to be creative.  I put in a bid on a T-Shirt Transfer.  We'll see.  Angry Birds - I haven't started looking.  That's my next project.

I should have the girls' quilts finished by this weekend as I have the tops all done.  All I need to do is finish the back and then sandwich the top, batting and the backing.  Quilt, bind and I'm done!  Yippee.  Then on to the boys' quilts.

Hello and welcome to my Blog.  Quilts by the Quilting Girl .....established in Honolulu, Hawaii. 

I love to quilt and give them away as gifts.  I also showcase my quilts on FB.  By doing this, I have friends asking me to make quilts for them.  I am so happy to do this!!

I will be posting pictures to this blog very soon so you can see what I have done.  I love it when someone gives me a color scheme and lets me do the rest.  I've also had custom orders on specific quilting patterns.  Either way, I'm happy to make the quilts. 

I'm in the process of pricing my quilts.  I will have a price list up soon.
